The Servoprop 25 significantly advances the capabilities of electric motors by delivering 25 kW of power, equivalent to traditional diesel engines of approximately 60 to 70 horsepower. This increase in power greatly expands possibilities for electric propulsion on monohulls up to 60 feet and multihulls up to 70 feet, revolutionizing the way sailors approach sustainable cruising.
Exceptional variable-pitch propeller
One of the standout features of the Servoprop 25 is its variable-pitch propeller, which can be installed facing either forward or aft. Traditional saildrives have aft-facing propellers to allow for folding, which often reduces efficiency. In contrast, a forward-facing installation significantly enhances both propulsion efficiency and energy regeneration capabilities.
Equipped with this system, the Servoprop can generate impressive hydrogeneration rates:
- 1 kW at 6 knots

Safety-focused 48-Volt architecture
Oceanvolt deliberately chose to maintain a 48-volt system for safety reasons. While higher voltages could have increased performance, they introduce greater complexity and risk, especially onboard.
